Senior Applied AI/ML Developer (RAG)

Location: Remote from Ontario, Canada

Salary: CAD 123,000–180,400 annually, with potential bonuses, stock grants, and benefits.

What you will do

• Design and implement machine learning capabilities that improve RAG platforms.
• Perform statistical and data analysis to generate datasets for model training and development.
• Build proofs of concept and plan end-to-end offline and online evaluation of ML features.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary stakeholders to translate business objectives into data, statistics, and machine learning solutions.
• Provide technical leadership and mentorship while coordinating delivery of production ML features.
• Apply current NLP, NLU, information retrieval, and machine learning techniques to customer-facing platform problems.

Requirements

• Master’s degree or PhD in computer science, statistics, mathematics, physics, software development, economics, computational linguistics, or a related field.
• At least 3 years of relevant machine learning experience.
• Hands-on experience with NLU and integrating traditional search techniques into RAG systems.
• Proficiency with the Python machine learning stack, including Pandas, deep learning frameworks, traditional ML, and probability calibration.
• Knowledge of experimental design and results analysis.
• Experience leading ML teams and delivering production machine learning features in cross-functional environments.
