Software Engineer (Python/JavaScript)

Location: Remote from Chile

Salary: $45–$80 per hour, estimated at approximately $7,200–$12,800 per month based on 160 hours.

What you will do

• Design and implement multi-file coding tasks covering bug fixes, feature development, refactoring, migrations, and testing.
• Write clear specifications and production-quality reference implementations.
• Develop and extend unit and integration test suites.
• Review peer-generated tasks for correctness, clarity, realism, and technical accuracy.
• Identify edge cases, ambiguities, and potential failure modes.
• Align specifications, code, tests, and expected outputs.

Requirements

• Advanced professional written English proficiency.
• 3–7 years of professional software engineering experience.
• Strong proficiency in Python and JavaScript or TypeScript.
• Backend or full-stack development experience with production systems.
• Experience with testing frameworks such as pytest, Jest, JUnit, xUnit, or Go testing.
• Proven ability to debug and navigate large, multi-file codebases, including code reviews, refactoring, and production migrations.
