What you will do

• Design, build, operate, and support backend systems throughout their full lifecycle.
• Develop backend services and GraphQL APIs for internal teams, customers, and partner integrations.
• Build pipelines that ingest, validate, anonymize, and tokenize advertisers’ first-party data.
• Design secure systems that keep personally identifiable information within protected infrastructure.
• Implement reliable asynchronous processing with retries, ordering, idempotency, and partial-failure handling.
• Drive cross-system changes, technical strategy, observability, testing, and mentoring.

Requirements

• Extensive experience building and operating production systems in high-scale or high-impact environments.
• Strong computer science fundamentals and hands-on experience with distributed systems.
• Professional experience with .NET/C#, Kotlin or another JVM language, Linux, networking, Kafka or similar message brokers, and SQL/NoSQL databases.
• Experience owning event-driven asynchronous systems, including message processing, schema design, data modeling, and consistency across services.
• Strong focus on maintainable code, testing, validation, monitoring, and production reliability.
• Ability to turn ambiguous requirements into technical designs and communicate clearly with technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Nice to have

• Experience designing or operating GraphQL APIs, particularly federated or subgraph architectures.
• Experience handling personally identifiable or regulated data and applying related privacy constraints.
