Equipment Manager Specialist - Processing Equipment (Manufacturing Automation): Developing and implementing automated high-precision manufacturing equipment for decorating, coating, and pre-assembly of moulded plastic components with an accent on mechanical design, technical leadership, and factory implementation. Focus on designing, testing, validating, and deploying scalable equipment while solving technical risks and enabling reliable production adoption.

Location: Billund, Denmark, with an average of 3 days per week in the office and occasional travel to manufacturing sites. Relocation support is not offered.

What you will do

• Lead the technical development of automated equipment from concept through design, build, testing, factory implementation, and handover.
• Define technical direction and support project planning, timelines, resource plans, cost estimates, and stakeholder alignment.
• Design and document mechanical solutions using CAD tools in line with engineering standards and requirements.
• Manage technical risks and solution quality through design reviews, D-FMEA, testing, validation, root cause analysis, and continuous improvement.
• Support process changes, technical documentation, and operational adoption at production sites.

Requirements

• Background in Mechanical Engineering, Production Engineering, or a similar field.
• Experience developing automated high-precision manufacturing equipment through full implementation.
• Proficiency in mechanical design using CAD tools such as Siemens NX or similar.
• Experience with testing, validation, structured problem solving, and continuous improvement.
• Strong collaboration skills and the ability to contribute to technical decisions and planning.
• Fluency in written and spoken English is required.

Nice to have

• Experience with Teamcenter or similar technical document management systems.
• Knowledge of industrialization, digitalization, or Industry 4.0.
• Experience with agile project execution such as Scrum.
• Knowledge of structural analysis, finite element analysis, or vision systems.
