Staff Cyber Security Specialist (Cybersecurity): Leading end-to-end incident response and digital forensic investigations within a product-driven MDR organization, with an accent on technical leadership, customer support, and security operations improvement. Location: Based in the Netherlands; hybrid in The Hague and remote from Amsterdam.

What you will do

• Lead cyber incident response engagements from intake through investigation, containment, and recovery.
• Serve as the technical lead during investigations and provide clear guidance to customers during active incidents.
• Conduct forensic investigations to establish attack scope, root cause, and business impact.
• Support MDR and Security Operations activities outside active response engagements.
• Coordinate with management, legal counsel, law enforcement, regulators, and other stakeholders when required.
• Mentor junior and mid-level responders and improve incident response methodologies, playbooks, and operational processes.

Requirements

• At least 6 years of cybersecurity experience, including substantial hands-on experience in incident response, digital forensics, or security operations.
• Ability to independently lead cybersecurity incidents end-to-end and communicate findings to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Strong knowledge of Windows, Linux, and macOS, file systems, security architecture, enterprise infrastructure, networking, and network security.
• Experience with EDR platforms such as CrowdStrike Falcon, Microsoft Defender for Endpoint, or SentinelOne.
• Knowledge of cloud environments and security concepts across Microsoft 365, Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud.
• Fluent Dutch is required for client communication; English is the internal working language.

Nice to have

• Experience developing scripts, tools, or automations for investigations and response.
• Technical security research experience and knowledge of threat actors and attacker TTPs.
• Experience in a CERT, CSIRT, MDR, or DFIR environment.
