Employee Relations Manager (Fixed Term) (Employee Relations/Workplace Investigations): Managing complex workplace investigations, employee relations cases, and conflict resolution across the AMER region with an accent on impartial investigations, employment law, risk assessment, and stakeholder consultation. Focus on evaluating sensitive employee concerns, preparing well-supported findings, advising managers and senior stakeholders, and driving high-priority cases to timely resolution.
Location: Remote in Ontario, Canada
Salary: CAD 114,750–168,300 starting base salary.

What you will do
- Manage a high-volume caseload of complex employee relations matters and lead workplace investigations from planning through resolution.
- Conduct interviews, review evidence, assess credibility, document findings, and prepare impartial investigation summaries.
- Advise managers, employees, HR partners, Legal, Compliance, and business leaders on sensitive employee relations issues.
- Interpret company policies, employment law, and regulations while assessing organizational and legal risk.
- Identify recurring employee relations themes and recommend improvements to policies, guidance, and manager resources.
- Collaborate with the Employee Relations team to promote consistency, mitigate risk, and improve decision-making.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent; advanced degree and legal coursework are preferred.
- At least 8 years of employee relations experience, including significant experience independently conducting complex workplace investigations or advising managers in a large, matrixed organization.
- Expertise in end-to-end investigations involving complex employee concerns, policy violations, interpersonal conflict, and misconduct.
- Experience partnering with Legal, HR, Compliance, and business leaders while maintaining neutrality and confidentiality.
- Strong judgment, prioritization, influencing, coaching, communication, and relationship-building skills.
- Ability to analyze employee relations issues, assess legal and organizational risk, and handle confidential information professionally.
