Software Engineer (Java)

Location: Hybrid: 3 days in-office (Warren, Michigan), 2 days remote. Must be able to report to the local office.

What you will do

• Develop software tools and support API validation using industry-standard methodologies.
• Write software solutions and perform quality checks based on detailed system specifications.
• Update existing software and create new solutions to address specific business problems.
• Collaborate with scrum teams, systems architects, and lead developers to ensure code alignment with design patterns.
• Provide technical expertise to enable multi-layered solution architectures across application, data, and infrastructure designs.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
• 5 years of experience as a Software Developer, Systems Engineer, or similar role.
• Proficiency in Java / JEE Business Solutions and the full software development lifecycle (SDLC).
• Experience implementing and securing APIs using API Gateway solutions and microservices.
• Strong knowledge of SQL/Oracle, Hibernate, and Web Services (REST and SOAP).
• Practical experience with Kubernetes, Azure Gateway, Spark, RabbitMQ, Cassandra, and Redis.
