TL;DR
Software Engineer (Java): Developing software tools and validating APIs for automotive systems with an accent on microservices architecture and API gateway solutions. Focus on implementing scalable backend services, ensuring code alignment with design patterns, and optimizing data infrastructure.
Location: Hybrid: 3 days in-office (Warren, Michigan), 2 days remote. Must be able to report to the local office.

What you will do
- Develop software tools and support API validation using industry-standard methodologies.
- Write software solutions and perform quality checks based on detailed system specifications.
- Update existing software and create new solutions to address specific business problems.
- Collaborate with scrum teams, systems architects, and lead developers to ensure code alignment with design patterns.
- Provide technical expertise to enable multi-layered solution architectures across application, data, and infrastructure designs.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
- 5 years of experience as a Software Developer, Systems Engineer, or similar role.
- Proficiency in Java / JEE Business Solutions and the full software development lifecycle (SDLC).
- Experience implementing and securing APIs using API Gateway solutions and microservices.
- Strong knowledge of SQL/Oracle, Hibernate, and Web Services (REST and SOAP).
- Practical experience with Kubernetes, Azure Gateway, Spark, RabbitMQ, Cassandra, and Redis.
