hirify.global is building the world's most capable, commercially-scalable, and safe hirify.global robots, currently deploying the HMND‑01 Alpha platform in industrial pilots.

What you will do

• Develop embedded software for robotic systems with a focus on real-time performance and reliability.
• Integrate and optimize sensors, actuators, and communication modules.
• Write and debug firmware for microcontrollers, FPGAs, and SoCs.
• Implement and manage communication protocols including EtherCAT, CAN, UART, SPI, and I2C.
• Perform hardware testing, validation, and troubleshooting of embedded systems.
• Maintain detailed technical documentation for designs, code, and test results.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Robotics, or a related field.
• Proficiency in C, C++, and Python.
• Solid understanding of RTOS and hardware-software interfaces.
• Experience with communication protocols (EtherCAT, CAN, etc.) and sensor integration.
• Experience with debugging tools like oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, and in-circuit debuggers.
• Must be based in or work on-site in Vancouver, Canada

Nice to have

• Experience with robotics frameworks such as ROS/ROS2.
• Hands-on experience with FPGA/SoC development.
• Knowledge of agile development methodologies.
• Familiarity with off-the-shelf EtherCAT-based motor drivers.
