Focus on designing a multi-insurer platform, making LLM-led flows deterministic in regulated financial services, and building the engineering organization and technical direction.

hirify.global’s London Studio is building Malcolm, an AI infrastructure platform for insurance distribution that is already in production with Aviva.

What you will do

• Define the architecture and technical direction of a multi-class, multi-insurer infrastructure platform.
• Lead development of the agent-first orchestration engine for reliable conversational insurance flows.
• Scale and lead the engineering team, currently consisting of 1–3 engineers.
• Work directly with insurer partners on technical integrations and commercial discussions.
• Partner with the CEO on product strategy, commercial decisions, and fundraising.

Requirements

• Production experience building and shipping reliable software systems.
• Strong architectural judgment and the ability to clearly defend technical decisions.
• Ability to write code and lead engineers toward high-quality implementation.
• Understanding of the challenges of making LLM-driven conversational flows deterministic and compliant in regulated financial services.
• Comfort with early-stage ambiguity and the ability to move quickly without compromising safety or quality.
• Must be London-based or willing to relocate to London.
