What you will do
- Set up, start, operate, and perform changeovers on designated legacy filling and packaging lines according to approved SOPs.
- Package commercial pharmaceutical products in line with manufacturing instructions, specifications, and GMP requirements.
- Complete batch documentation, line cleaning, batch clearance, reconciliation, and production records accurately.
- Monitor equipment performance, conduct in-process quality checks, and escalate abnormalities to minimise downtime.
- Support 5S, GEMBA, continuous improvement, and effective shift handovers with Manufacturing, Engineering, Quality, and Supply Chain teams.
- Maintain current training and follow all health, safety, environmental, and quality procedures within the legacy-line scope.
Requirements
- GCSE Maths and English at Grade C/4 or above, or equivalent.
- Experience in a production or regulated manufacturing environment.
- Demonstrable understanding of GMP principles and compliance requirements.
- Packaging machinery certification obtained through OEM in-house training.
- Practical and mechanical aptitude, strong attention to detail, and the ability to complete production documentation accurately.
- Ability to follow instructions, calibrate associated equipment, communicate effectively, and work collaboratively on a night shift.
Nice to have
- Recognised packaging qualification such as an NVQ.
- Experience in pharmaceutical manufacturing.
- Experience operating modern, high-speed packaging equipment.
- Five GCSEs at Grade C/4 or above, including Maths and English.
