IT Trainer (Control Room)

TL;DR

IT Trainer (Control Room): Designing and delivering technical training for Public Safety software with an accent on software proficiency, technical infrastructure, and pedagogical methodologies. Focus on conducting training needs analysis, developing e-learning content, and providing technical consultancy to clients.

Location: Remote (UK), but requires travel 75% of the time. Candidates must have a pre-existing right to work and travel within the UK.

What you will do

• Deliver software and technical training via classrooms, webinars, and e-learning platforms.
• Conduct training needs analysis and design tailored course materials, manuals, and exercises.
• Develop train-the-trainer and specialized technical training packages.
• Set up and maintain the IT equipment and resources required for the learning environment.
• Provide training consultancy to customers to define effective training strategies.
• Evaluate the effectiveness of training outcomes and manage administrative records.

Requirements

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Adobe Captivate, and Camtasia.
• Experience with training methodologies, learning styles, and strategy development.
• Technical knowledge of IP routing, switches, firewalls, and VoIP/SIP connectivity.
• Experience with virtual servers (VMware or Hyper-V) and SQL databases.
• Pre-existing right to work and travel within the UK.
• Ability to travel up to 75% of the time.

Nice to have

• Previous experience in a Control Room environment or public safety markets (e.g., police, healthcare).
• Professional background as a Network Technician, Systems Admin, or Technical Support Specialist.
• LPI or other professional training body recognized qualifications.
• Experience developing engaging e-learning media and content.
