What you will do
- Perform complex CASS technical activities including bank reconciliations, breach management, financial reporting, and control activities in line with FCA CASS regulations.
- Investigate platform data to understand transactional activity, interpret results, conduct root cause analysis, and recommend actions to reduce risk and strengthen controls.
- Provide technical guidance and primary supervision to a small group of colleagues handling junior professional tasks to ensure quality, consistency, and effective issue resolution.
- Support project planning and scheduling of implementations, liaising with technical departments and internal/external stakeholders as needed.
- Ensure work in the area is completed accurately and adheres to Group policies, processes, and relevant external regulations.
Requirements
- Practical application of CASS 6 & 7 rules and strong reconciliation experience, including investigating breaks and supporting timely resolution.
- Understanding of finance systems and processes, journals, and double entry.
- Ability to analyse and interpret complex transactional data, identify themes/anomalies, assess wider impact, and draw clear conclusions.
- Strong attention to detail and confidence working accurately under pressure to meet tight deadlines.
- Proactive ownership mindset with the ability to challenge appropriately and escalate risks/issues early.
- Organisational and prioritisation skills, with the ability to work proactively with limited oversight.
