TL;DR
Security Engineer (Product): Securing Wiz’s products, CI/CD pipelines, and production infrastructure with an accent on cloud-native security, threat modeling, and vulnerability management. Focus on building automation, policy-as-code, and scalable security controls to enable secure-by-design development workflows.
Location: Must be based in Germany (Berlin, Munich, or Remote within Germany). Applicants must have the legal right to work in Germany without visa sponsorship.

What you will do
- Lead threat modeling and security reviews across products and cloud infrastructure.
- Build automation, policy-as-code, and security tooling to enable shift-left security.
- Design and implement secure baselines for cloud resources and Kubernetes-based infrastructure.
- Drive vulnerability management and remediation efforts across the software supply chain.
- Extend detection and response capabilities to identify and investigate malicious activity.
- Partner with engineering and operations teams to deliver secure-by-design solutions.
Requirements
- 7+ years of experience in security engineering or operations in cloud environments.
- Strong AWS cloud security experience (or equivalent in Azure/GCP).
- Deep expertise in Kubernetes (EKS/GKE/AKS) and container security.
- Proven ability to lead technical security reviews and threat modeling.
- Hands-on experience with IaC tools like Terraform, CloudFormation, or Helm.
- Proficiency in automation development using Python, Go, or Shell.
- Must have legal right to work in Germany without visa sponsorship.
Nice to have
- Experience with CNAPP, CSPM, or CIEM solutions.
- Experience working with globally distributed teams.
- Background in organizations developing managed infrastructure services.
