What you will do

• Design and run mixed-methods studies to distinguish genuine capability growth from surface-level AI usage among legal professionals.
• Build and validate surveys, interview protocols, and quantitative measures to ensure findings are rigorous and actionable.
• Analyze usage and outcome data directly using Python and standard research tooling to identify adoption patterns.
• Translate research findings into concrete recommendations for product features, onboarding, and customer enablement.
• Communicate insights through written reports, presentations, and dashboards to inform leadership decisions.
• Help prioritize the research roadmap by balancing depth on high-value questions with breadth across the customer base.

Requirements

• Research background in applied social science, human-computer interaction (HCI), organizational psychology, or a related quantitative/qualitative discipline.
• Solid mixed-methods skills, including survey design, basic psychometrics, and structured interviewing.
• Hands-on technical proficiency in Python and data analysis to run independent analyses.
• Experience conducting applied research within large, complex organizations or enterprise technology environments.
• Ability to derive insights from messy, real-world customer adoption data.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills with a track record of influencing product and business stakeholders.

Nice to have

• Experience with A/B testing and experimentation frameworks in a product or enterprise software context.
• Prior exposure to legal, professional services, or other high-stakes expertise-driven industries.
• Experience partnering directly with customers to identify and understand adoption barriers.
• Published work or internal writing on skill development, technology adoption, or human-AI collaboration.
• Comfort transitioning from a large organization to a fast-paced company environment.
