What you will do

• Architect and develop high-performance frontend solutions for VOD and live streaming video players.
• Implement player ad-tech integrations with third-party vendors to optimize CPM and user engagement.
• Build frontend interfaces that enable creators to manage their streams and audience engagement.
• Optimize playback experiences for low latency, high quality, and stability under heavy load.
• Collaborate with Android, iOS, and Roku teams to ensure a cohesive cross-platform user experience.
• Mentor mid-level engineers and use quantifiable data to drive architectural decisions and optimizations.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in frontend web development using React and TypeScript.
• Proven expertise in video player and advertising technology within a streaming environment.
• Direct experience with VOD and live streaming technical implementations, specifically ad insertion.
• Proficiency in Next.js, GraphQL, and Tailwind CSS.
• Experience with Figma and a pixel-perfect implementation mindset.
• Must be based in Melbourne, Australia to support the hybrid office model.

Nice to have

• Experience with Go (Golang) on the backend.
• Knowledge of Radix UI, visual regression testing, and Turborepo/monorepo workflows.
• Deep understanding of React render lifecycle, memoization strategies, and concurrent rendering.
• Experience optimizing video experiences for CTV platforms like Roku.
