3D Animator (Fintech)

Location: Japan, Tokyo; hybrid work with at least 3 days per week in the Japan office

What you will do

• Create high-quality 3D animations for marketing campaigns, product showcases, social media, and brand storytelling.
• Develop character, object, and environmental animations, translating storyboards and concepts into polished content.
• Produce cinematic camera movements, transitions, visual sequences, and cohesive multimedia campaigns.
• Manage the full 3D production pipeline, including modeling, rigging, animation, lighting, rendering, compositing, and post-production.
• Optimize rendering, workflows, and asset management while developing reusable animation assets, templates, and production standards.
• Mentor junior animators and designers, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and present creative solutions to stakeholders.

Requirements

• Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Animation, Multimedia Design, Computer Graphics, Visual Effects, or a related field.
• At least 2 years of professional experience in 3D animation, CGI production, motion graphics, or visual storytelling.
• Expert proficiency in Blender, Cinema 4D, Maya, or equivalent 3D software, plus experience with animation pipelines, lighting, rendering, and compositing.
• Proficiency in Adobe After Effects, Premiere Pro, Photoshop, and related creative tools.
• Strong understanding of animation principles, timing, weight, movement, and storytelling, with experience creating character, product, or environment animations.
• Strong English communication is required, and a portfolio or showreel demonstrating advanced 3D animation work is required.

Nice to have

• Experience with Unreal Engine, Houdini, or real-time rendering workflows.
• Knowledge of character rigging, simulations, dynamics, and visual effects.
• Experience integrating AI-assisted creative tools into animation workflows.
• Background in advertising, digital products, technology, fintech, or startup environments.
