What you will do

• Own the technical roadmap for device observability infrastructure, provisioning, and lifecycle features across the devices portfolio.
• Design and implement scalable, fault-tolerant telemetry pipelines and provisioning workflows.
• Partner with teams across Fire TV, Tablet, eReaders, Alexa, Ring, and Blink on firmware strategy and instrumentation architecture.
• Lead incident response, reduce provisioning failures, and improve time-to-production metrics.
• Mentor engineers through code reviews, design guidance, and architecture deep dives.
• Drive improvements in CI/CD pipelines, testing frameworks, and deployment automation.

Requirements

• 5+ years of non-internship professional software development experience.
• 5+ years of programming experience with at least one software programming language.
• 5+ years of experience leading design or architecture of new and existing systems (reliability and scaling).
• Proven experience as a mentor, tech lead, or leading an engineering team.
• Must be based in or be able to work from Denver, CO, USA.

Nice to have

• 5+ years of full software development life cycle (SDLC) experience, including coding standards and operations.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or an equivalent degree.
