What you will do

• Provide operational and strategic leadership for assigned laboratory products under senior lab leadership.
• Monitor workflow to meet production goals and deadlines (TAT, SLA) and generate executive-level production/departmental summaries.
• Scale staffing and equipment, manage headcount, and control labor and capital expenditures while developing and monitoring budgets.
• Drive continuous improvement projects to reduce cost, improve quality, and refine lab processes.
• Oversee quality control/assurance programs, ensure tests follow approved procedures, and manage NCR and CAPA initiation/closeout.
• Lead team operations, support automation/test improvements into production, troubleshoot processing errors, and coordinate with OPS, Accessioning, Engineering, Stats, R&D, and Support.

Requirements

• BS/BA in Biological Sciences or related field (or equivalent).
• 3+ years of relevant leadership experience and/or effectively managing a team (preferred).
• 5+ years of industry-related experience (preferred).
• Current ASCP board certification in Medical Technology or California State CLS or CGMBS license (Clinical Genetics Molecular Biologist Scientist) is required.
• Experience working on a Laboratory Operations floor and knowledge of Lean Six Sigma concepts and tools.
• Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills; ability to work in a team environment.
