Security Engineer (Anti-Fraud)

What you will do

• Design and ship the fraud platform protecting payments, credits, and the free tier from abuse.
• Build real-time detection systems including signals, features, and scoring that act in milliseconds.
• Run feedback loops with chargebacks, support, and trust & safety teams to label, learn, and re-deploy defenses.
• Implement bot defenses across signup, app generation, and publishing flows.
• Own key metrics including fraud loss rate, false-positive rate, and attacker time-to-defeat.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience building anti-fraud, anti-abuse, or risk systems at consumer scale.
• Strong backend engineering skills in Go, Python, or TypeScript.
• Deep knowledge of rules engines, real-time feature stores, ML scoring, device fingerprinting, and behavioral signals.
• Ability to model attacker behavior, ship counters, and measure effectiveness.
• Pragmatic approach to balancing precision and recall to protect users without friction.
• English proficiency: C1+ required as it is the company language.

Nice to have

• Experience with LLM-specific abuse such as prompt injection or generated-content fraud.
• Background in chargeback and payments fraud at a large-scale merchant.
