What you will do

• Drive the technical evolution of the platform, focusing on performance, scalability, and maintainability.
• Lead optimization initiatives for Core Web Vitals, page rendering, and caching strategies.
• Partner with Product and Engineering teams to deliver features aligned with project roadmaps.
• Conduct technical audits to identify opportunities for simplifying and modernizing legacy systems.
• Champion engineering best practices through code reviews, hands-on development, and team mentoring.

Requirements

• Must be based in or able to work from Bratislava, Slovakia.
• Strong experience building and maintaining large-scale, customer-facing web applications.
• Proficiency in PHP and modern JavaScript frameworks, specifically React.
• Deep understanding of web performance optimization, including Core Web Vitals and caching strategies.
• Experience conducting technical audits and translating findings into practical improvements.
• Product engineering mindset with the ability to balance technical quality and business outcomes.

Nice to have

• Knowledge of SEO-focused or high-traffic content platforms.
• Experience with cloud infrastructure (AWS) and observability tooling.
