What you will do

• Design and scale compute, networking, and routing for a platform carrying millions of messages daily.
• Manage petabytes of customer data across distributed storage fleets, including capacity planning and performance tuning.
• Automate infrastructure as code to ensure scalability and consistency across the stack.
• Build safe testing and deployment pipelines featuring preflight checks and progressive rollouts.
• Develop monitoring and observability systems to surface and solve issues before they impact clients.
• Optimize filtering engines and authentication systems to combat spam and abuse.

Requirements

• Strong hands-on Linux experience (5+ years).
• Experience with both on-prem virtualization (Proxmox, KVM, bare metal) and cloud providers (GCP, AWS, Cloudflare).
• Proficiency in Infrastructure as Code using Ansible, Terraform, or equivalents.
• Programming or scripting skills in Go or Python.
• Production experience with databases and caches (MySQL, PostgreSQL, Redis/Valkey, Memcached).
• Experience running workloads on Kubernetes and Docker, and a solid grasp of networking fundamentals (DNS, TCP/IP, TLS).

Nice to have

• Hands-on experience with MTAs (Postfix, Exim, KumoMTA) and IMAP stores (Dovecot, Cyrus).
• Knowledge of email security (SPF, DKIM, DMARC) and IP reputation management.
• Familiarity with data pipelines and analytics tooling like ClickHouse, Kafka, or Flink.
• Professional certifications such as RHCSA or RHCE.
