Location: Must be based in Canada. The role is primarily remote, with occasional in-person responsibilities at the Bristol, UK office and colocation facilities.

Salary: $175,000–$195,000 CAD

What you will do

• Define and evolve security architecture across AWS and colocation infrastructure.
• Establish secure reference architectures, engineering standards, and reusable control patterns.
• Design and improve security for identity, networks, encryption, and workload protection.
• Lead threat modelling, security architecture reviews, and technical risk assessments.
• Embed security capabilities into infrastructure provisioning and CI/CD pipelines using automation.
• Act as a senior technical escalation point during significant security incidents.

Requirements

• Must be based in Canada.
• Deep, hands-on experience securing AWS environments and identity management.
• Experience designing or securing on-premises, data-centre, or colocation-hosted infrastructure.
• Proficiency with scripting or software development using Python, Go, or a comparable language.
• Demonstrated experience leading complex security initiatives across multiple engineering teams.
• Strong knowledge of enterprise networking, segmentation, and hybrid connectivity.

Nice to have

• Advanced AWS certification in security, architecture, or networking.
• Experience in fintech, payments, or other regulated technology environments.
• Experience with Kubernetes, container security, and policy-as-code.
• Familiarity with PCI DSS, SOC 2, GDPR, NIST, or ISO 27001.
