Threat Investigator (AI)

Location: Must be based in the Asia-Pacific region and able to work Sydney hours (9am - 5pm AEST)

What you will do

• Proactively detect and reacquire bad actors on the platform.
• Investigate policy-violating activity using SQL, Python, and OSINT.
• Document and share investigative findings with internal stakeholders.
• Respond to urgent safety escalations and reactive leads.
• Maintain and develop detection pipelines for various abuse areas.
• Participate in an on-call rotation for urgent out-of-hours escalations.

Requirements

• 3+ years of investigative experience in Trust & Safety, National Security, Defense, or Law Enforcement.
• Must be based in the Asia-Pacific region with the ability to work Sydney business hours.
• Willingness to work on sensitive and distressing subject matter, including child safety and violent content.
• Strong proficiency in SQL and Python.
• Ability to participate in an on-call rotation including evenings and weekends.
• Strong technical investigative skillset with experience in detection pipelines.

Nice to have

• Expertise in AI platform risk and abuse.
• Professional proficiency in Arabic, Chinese, Korean, Japanese, Farsi, Portuguese, Russian, or Spanish.
• Experience scaling and automating detection and mitigation processes.
• Familiarity with language models for scaling investigations.
