TL;DR
DevOps Engineer (Payment): Ensuring the availability and stability of the Magenta Payment System (MPS) for processing global payments with an accent on CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure as code. Focus on automating deployments via GitLab, monitoring system health with Prometheus/Grafana, and integrating public cloud environments.
Location: Remote, but must be based in Slovakia
Salary: from €2,100 monthly

What you will do
- Ensure stable daily operation and reliability of the payment platform.
- Maintain and improve CI/CD pipelines using GitLab to support releases and deployments.
- Implement and manage monitoring and alerting systems using Kibana, Grafana, and Prometheus.
- Analyze logs and provide 3rd level support for incident resolution.
- Translate business requirements into user stories and technical solutions.
- Collaborate with developers and product owners to bridge the gap between development and operations.
Requirements
- Experience with GitLab CI/CD pipelines.
- Knowledge of Docker, Kubernetes, and Helm.
- Experience with monitoring tools such as Kibana, Grafana, and Prometheus.
- Basic understanding of cloud environments (AWS or GCP) and microservices architecture.
- Ability to understand application code written in Java or JavaScript.
- Must be based in Slovakia due to taxation regulations.
- English: B2+ level required.
Nice to have
- German language proficiency.
- Experience with cloud migration and data security/privacy processes.
- Master's degree in Information Technologies.
- Experience with Agile, Scrum, and SAFe methodologies.
