What you will do

• Design and implement highly efficient algorithms for sensor data acquisition, fusion, and filtering for real-time performance.
• Optimize signal processing software using parallel computing architectures, including CPUs, GPUs, and specialized accelerators.
• Build and ship a best-in-class sensor processing stack leveraging Rust and various DSLs.
• Collaborate with autonomy and hardware teams to ensure the robustness and efficiency of the entire system.

Requirements

• Deep understanding of modern computer architecture, including multi-core systems, cache management, and memory hierarchy.
• Experience implementing data-parallel and compute-intensive algorithms (e.g., image/video processing, compression).
• Proficiency in heterogeneous computing and low-level systems programming.
• Ability to perform complex performance profiling and identify critical codebase bottlenecks.
• Experience developing production-quality software in Rust or C++.
• Must be based in the US or Canada for remote work arrangements.

Nice to have

• Experience with CUDA, Vulkan, or OpenCL.
• Knowledge of domain-specific languages such as Halide, Taichi, Mojo, or Warp.
• Experience with CPU intrinsics (SSE/AVX, NEON/SVE).
• Background in embedded systems or publications in HPC, computer vision, or machine learning.
