PhD Research Scientist Intern (AI)

Location: On-site in Toronto, ON, Pittsburgh, PA, or San Francisco, CA.

Salary: $60 USD/hr (US) or $60–$65 CAD/hr (Canada).

What you will do

• Collaborate with multidisciplinary Research Scientists and Engineers on AI-first self-driving solutions.
• Lead or contribute to research projects developing new algorithms for AV systems.
• Design, implement, train, and optimize novel algorithms for production systems.
• Publish research findings at top-tier machine learning and robotics conferences.
• Contribute to the company blog and share technical insights.

Requirements

• Currently pursuing a PhD in Computer Science, Engineering, AI, Machine Learning, Computer Vision, or Robotics.
• Demonstrated research or software engineering experience through internships, projects, or papers.
• At least one publication in top Machine Learning, Computer Vision, or Robotics conferences.
• Strong quantitative background in linear algebra, calculus, and probability.
• Proficiency in Python and/or C++.
