What you will do
- Manage the end-to-end hardware development life cycle: requirement analysis, architecture design, implementation, testing, and validation.
- Execute board bring-up and perform functional, power, high-speed interface, thermal, and system integration testing.
- Perform Signal Integrity (SI) and Power Integrity (PI) analysis to ensure system stability.
- Coordinate with client teams for project delivery and regulatory compliance certification.
- Validate and characterize high-speed interfaces including PCIe Gen1/2/3, SERDES, SFP, PoE+, and USB.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in electrical design validation, board bring-up, and hardware debug for complex SoC-based platforms.
- Expertise in validating hardware platforms using ARM, Intel, NXP, or PowerPC processors, as well as FPGA and DDR3/DDR4 subsystems.
- Proven ability to debug signal integrity, power integrity, timing, thermal, PDN, and EMI/EMC issues.
- Hands-on experience with advanced lab equipment such as high-speed oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, and VNAs.
- Familiarity with OrCAD, Allegro, or Mentor tools and working knowledge of Python for test automation.
- Location: Must be based in San Jose, California for this onsite role.
