What you will do

• Prototype, implement, and iterate on gameplay systems, investigative mechanics, and narrative events.
• Implement and maintain gameplay logic and progression systems using Unreal Engine 5 and Blueprints.
• Collaborate with narrative, art, and audio teams to create immersive scripted gameplay moments.
• Partner with engineers to improve technical workflows, gameplay tools, and content pipelines.
• Troubleshoot and resolve scripting and implementation issues to ensure stability and performance.
• Work with producers to estimate tasks, communicate progress, and manage technical risks.

Requirements

• Minimum 5 years of experience in game development, with at least 2 years as a Technical Designer or in a gameplay implementation role.
• Strong proficiency with Unreal Engine 5, specifically Blueprint scripting and debugging.
• Proven experience implementing gameplay systems and scripted events directly in-engine.
• Experience shipping at least one title, preferably featuring narrative or investigative mechanics.
• Must be legally eligible to work in Canada and reside within Canada.

Nice to have

• Experience with branching dialogue, quest systems, or narrative scripting.
• Familiarity with cinematic pipelines and sequencing tools.
• Passion for crime fiction and character-driven narrative games.
• Experience collaborating closely with writers and cinematic teams.
