TL;DR
Compiler Engineer (C++/LLVM): Development and maintenance of the Intel Fortran compiler front-end and run-time library with an accent on modern Fortran standards and parallel processing. Focus on generating LLVM IR, implementing OpenMP features, and optimizing source code for high performance.

Location: Hybrid; Must be based in the US (California, Colorado, Massachusetts, Oregon, or Texas)

Salary: $128,880 - 211,200 USD

What you will do

  • Develop syntax and semantic processing support and generate LLVM IR.
  • Implement RTL routines for new features from the Fortran standard (2023 and upcoming).
  • Add OpenMP directives and features to improve source code optimizations.
  • Maintain the hirify.global Fortran compiler front-end and run-time library.
  • Resolve technical inquiries from customers, support engineers, and internal users.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field with 3+ years of experience (or Master's with 2+ years).
  • Fluency in C and C++.
  • Experience enhancing and maintaining compiler software or software development tools.
  • Ability to work on both Linux and Windows platforms.
  • Must have valid US work authorization.

Nice to have

  • Familiarity with the LLVM project and LLVM IR generation.
  • Experience with OpenMP or other parallel processing methodologies.
  • Knowledge of modern Fortran language features (2003, 2008, 2018, 2023).
  • Experience reading or participating in the development of language standards.
