Embedded Software Engineer

TL;DR

Embedded Software Engineer (C/microcontrollers): Design and develop embedded software for microcontrollers, define software specifications from new product requirements, and support testing and technical documentation with an accent on automotive quality standards and functional safety practices. Focus on building reliable firmware with CI pipelines, automated unit tests/static analysis, hardware-in-the-loop testing, and model-based design toolchains to shorten time to market.

Location: Kaunas - Draugystes (hybrid: partially remote, otherwise in the Kaunas office)

Salary: 3500–4500 EUR gross per month

What you will do

• Design and develop embedded software for small-to-medium microcontrollers, test it, and prepare reports.
• Process new product requirements and define software specifications for what will be built.
• Work according to state-of-the-art automotive quality standards and continuously improve processes.
• Produce and administer technical documentation.
• Apply best coding practices and foster an Agile mindset.

Requirements

• At least 2 years of embedded software development experience in C for microcontrollers (e.g., ARM Cortex, Microchip, NXP).
• Ability to read and understand hardware schematics.
• Hands-on experience with basic electronics lab equipment (scope, logic analyzer).
• Team player with strong problem-solving and root-cause analysis skills.
• Technical English (written and spoken).

Nice to have

• Knowledge of ASPICE and ISO 26262 (Functional Safety).
