What you will do

• Define and own the end-to-end architecture of the developer platform, including API gateway, authentication, metering, and billing.
• Establish global API design standards, security models, and integration patterns across the API portfolio.
• Write production code and perform pull request reviews as the senior technical authority for the engineering team.
• Ensure AI and MCP surfaces are integrated as first-class citizens within the platform architecture.
• Collaborate with the CIO organization and Product teams to align platform standards with enterprise ERP and application architecture.
• Partner with Engineering Managers on technical hiring, team structure, and delivery sequencing.

Requirements

• 12+ years of software engineering experience with significant expertise in architecting large-scale systems.
• Strong technical mastery of OAuth 2.0, OIDC, token handling, and platform security models.
• Hands-on experience engineering distributed systems, event streaming, API gateways, and usage-based billing pipelines.
• Proven track record of building and shipping custom, customer-facing API-driven software.
• Must be based in Ireland.

• Familiarity with AI/agent integration patterns and MCP.
