Sr. International Accountant (Finance)

TL;DR

Sr. International Accountant (Finance): Managing the financial operations and reporting for the Serbian entity with an accent on local GAAP compliance and US-local GAAP reconciliations. Focus on automating financial processes, managing the SEF portal, and coordinating statutory audits.

Location: Novi Sad, Serbia. Hybrid: 2 days per week in the office required.

What you will do

• Manage the Serbian entity's financial accuracy, completeness, and reliability.
• Execute month-end close activities and prepare journal entries in NetSuite.
• Prepare financial statements according to local GAAP and perform US-local GAAP reconciliations.
• Oversee the statutory audit process and ensure timely preparation of deliverables.
• Manage invoicing, tax payments, and the Serbian SEF (System of Electronic Invoices) portal.
• Partner cross-functionally with Tax, FP&A, Legal, and Sales & Marketing teams.

Requirements

• Recognized accounting qualification (ACA, CIMA, ACCA).
• Minimum 3 years of PQE, preferably from Big Four or a multinational organization.
• Solid knowledge of IFRS and local GAAPs (US GAAP is a plus).
• Strong analytical, planning, and communication skills.
• Experience working as part of a distributed team across multiple geographic locations.
• Must be based in or able to work from the Novi Sad office.
