What you will do

• Manage end-to-end financial operations for the consumer business, including deposits, withdrawals, and settlements for fiat and crypto assets.
• Define and manage SLAs for key operational metrics such as transaction success rates and dispute resolution turnaround.
• Build, lead, and scale a high-performing operations team across reconciliation, asset movement, and support ops.
• Drive operational readiness for new product launches and geographic expansions in partnership with Product, Compliance, and Engineering.
• Partner with Compliance and Legal to operationalize AML, KYC, and fraud prevention controls.
• Own vendor management and performance monitoring for payment processors and banking partners.

Requirements

• 10+ years of experience in financial, payments, or treasury operations.
• 4+ years in a senior leadership role, ideally within crypto, fintech, or a regulated financial institution.
• Direct experience managing high-volume fiat and cryptocurrency money movement.
• Strong working knowledge of AML, KYC, and fraud-prevention frameworks.
• Proven track record of leading operations teams through periods of rapid growth.
• Must be based in or able to work from the Malta office with a mandatory 4-day weekly presence.
