What you will do

• Manage and enhance Docker Swarm clusters and AWS services using GitHub Actions.
• Collaborate with three development teams to support deployment, monitoring, and scaling under a "you build it, you run it" philosophy.
• Maintain and optimize MySQL databases and plan the migration to a Galera Cluster.
• Develop and oversee a comprehensive disaster recovery plan (DRP) using AWS and third-party services.
• Implement and manage CI/CD pipelines using Git, Docker, and GitHub Actions to automate workflows.
• Continuously assess and improve the performance, scalability, and security of services to identify and address bottlenecks.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience as a DevOps Engineer.
• Proven expertise in DevOps practices, automation, and infrastructure as code.
• Hands-on experience with Docker, Docker Swarm, AWS services (EC2, RDS, VPC, S3), and CDK.
• Proficiency in scripting languages such as Bash and Python, with the ability to review Node.js code.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to handle critical issues and outages under pressure.
• Must be based in or be able to work on-site in Rome, Italy.

Nice to have

• Experience in database administration, replication, and Galera Cluster.
• Proficiency in monitoring tools such as Prometheus and Grafana.
• Familiarity with Kubernetes and experience with its deployment.
