What you will do
- Lead two protocol teams (S3, NFS, SMB) located in Israel and the US, focusing on datapath stacks.
- Manage the career development, growth, and mentorship of team leaders and engineers.
- Coordinate deliverables from planning to release in collaboration with program and product management.
- Build and maintain the technical debt backlog to ensure ongoing system improvement.
- Recruit, nurture, and manage the retention of experienced developers.
- Own and promote quality across all deliveries and participate in code reviews and system design.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in managing software development teams.
- 5+ years of experience in C/C++, Python, Go, or Rust development.
- Experience with Linux and low-level User-Mode OS knowledge.
- Proven experience in the development of highly distributed systems.
- Direct customer-facing experience.
Nice to have
- Experience in the storage industry, databases, or infrastructure.
- Familiarity with storage concepts such as SMB, NFS, S3, SSD, NVMe, and Linux filesystems.
- Knowledge of network concepts and protocols (TCP, UDP, RDMA, InfiniBand, Ethernet).
- Experience with clustered environment products, design, and containers.
- Previous experience in group leadership or managing multiple teams.
