Salary: €4,500 - €6,500 per month

What you will do

• Design features capable of handling enterprise traffic across multiple regions.
• Optimize critical system paths to ensure maximum performance and reliability.
• Implement patterns for code quality, testing, and release readiness.
• Partner with DevOps on deployments and monitoring to ensure operational excellence.
• Mentor engineers within the team to accelerate their growth.
• Work in focused 6-week development cycles using a post-scrum method.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience building backend systems under production traffic with architecture ownership.
• Strong proficiency in PHP (Symfony) and relational databases (MySQL) with real-world query optimization experience.
• Proven ability to debug race conditions and resolve database performance bottlenecks under load.
• Deep understanding of trade-offs between consistency, availability, and partition tolerance.
• Must be able to work in a hybrid format from The Hague, Netherlands.

Nice to have

• Experience with Redis, Docker, Kubernetes, and GitLab CI/CD.
