What you will do

• Conduct comprehensive telephonic assessments to identify and address client legal issues.
• Provide clear, practical advice on South African law across various domains including family, consumer, and civil law.
• Manage high-stress crisis situations such as unlawful evictions or domestic violence following established protocols.
• Deliver short-term legal interventions and assist clients in understanding their legal position and next steps.
• Refer complex matters requiring formal litigation to appropriate external bodies or internal networks.
• Maintain accurate, confidential legal records in compliance with POPIA and organizational standards.

Requirements

• Must be based in South Africa
• Legum Baccalaureus (LLB) or BA (LAW) degree
• Minimum of 2 years of working experience in a call center environment
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and advanced Excel skills
• Strong active listening, analytical thinking, and emotional resilience
• Ability to translate complex legal jargon into simple concepts for diverse audiences

Nice to have

• Experience in the field of EAP (Employment Assistance Program)
• Experience working in a clinical or psychological setting
