Mission

Drive and scale our payment conversion across Africa. You own the full technical layer between Flexifai and its payment ecosystem: providers, merchants, integrations, and the routing logic that connects them.

Your performance is measured in approval rate, processed volume, and system stability.

Key Responsibilities

• Own the full technical relationship with African payment providers — mobile money operators, PSPs, banks — covering performance, behavior, limits, and escalations
• Manage merchant integrations end-to-end across African markets: setup, go-live, post-launch quality
• Configure and maintain routing rules and cascading logic — own every decision and its outcome
• Build failover and retry strategies per provider and market (mobile money vs. card vs. bank transfer vs. USSD)
• Investigate and resolve conversion incidents; define root causes and eliminate them, including fraud patterns specific to mobile money ecosystems
• Run monitoring and alerting across approval rate, decline patterns, and system anomalies
• Translate performance data and integration issues into product requirements for Engineering
• Prepare structured technical briefs for the PO Manager: provider benchmarks, routing changes, integration status, conversion trends

Requirements:

• 3+ years of experience as a QA Engineer, Technical PO, Technical Support, Payments Specialist, or other payment-related tech jobs within a PSP, a payment gateway, an acquiring bank, or a fintech
• Hands-on experience with payments infrastructure: REST/SOAP APIs, webhooks, transaction lifecycle, reconciliation
• Practical knowledge of the African payment methods landscape (mobile money, USSD, local bank transfers, card schemes) — direct experience with providers or merchants in the region is a strong advantage
• Comfortable with SQL and monitoring/BI tools (e.g., Grafana, Power BI, Kibana, Sentry) for conversion and incident analysis
• A technical profile — stronger in hard skills than in business development
• Fluent English (written and spoken)
• Ukrainian or Russian — a strong plus, for fast collaboration with internal teams
• Ability to work independently, at a fast pace, without detailed instructions, while staying close to the details
