What you will do

• Provide line management for staff, including performance management and workforce planning.
• Serve as a member of the Country Management Group (CMG).
• Assess needs and implement emergency responses in the area to ensure optimal resource use.
• Manage the Area Office's internal structure across programmes and support functions.
• Oversee staff security and safety, including conducting risk assessments for new areas.
• Ensure all projects align with NRC standards and donor requirements.

Requirements

• Minimum 3-5 years of experience as a Senior Project Manager, field manager, or area manager in a humanitarian context.
• Proven experience in emergency response, especially during the start-up phase.
• Fluency in Spanish and English, both written and verbal.
• University degree in Social Sciences, Economic Sciences, Administration, or similar.
• Experience leading large teams and managing personnel with documented results.
• Experience in strategic direction, budget planning, and donor cooperation.

Nice to have

• Previous experience working in Latin America.
