TL;DR
Yield Analytics Engineer (Semiconductor): Defining technology-transfer roadmaps, manufacturing flow procedures, and equipment configurations while analyzing structured and unstructured data to improve quality and yield in assembly, test, and high-volume manufacturing with an accent on statistics, machine learning, and data scripting. Focus on low-yield analysis, yield prediction, integrated defect and parametric measurement analysis, and risk assessment for manufacturing materials and process changes.
Location: Onsite in Penang, Malaysia

What you will do
- Define roadmaps, requirements, goals, and milestones for incoming technology transfers.
- Establish module flows, procedures, and equipment configurations.
- Extract and synthesize insights from large volumes of structured and unstructured manufacturing data.
- Own sustaining and continuous-improvement activities for quality, integrated defects, and parametric measurements.
- Drive low-yield analysis and yield-improvement initiatives with internal and external stakeholders.
- Perform quality and reliability risk assessments for discrepant materials and process changes.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Electronic Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, Chemistry, Physics, or a related field.
- At least 5 years of Assembly and Test or semiconductor-processing experience.
- Experience writing scripts for data extraction and analysis using SQL, Perl, JSL, Python, or similar tools.
- Ability to solve problems, prioritize work in ambiguous environments, and collaborate effectively in high-performing teams.
- Strong written and verbal communication, teamwork, and leadership skills.
- Regular onsite presence in Penang, Malaysia is required.
Nice to have
- Experience applying model-based problem solving and data analytics to integrated yield issues.
- In-depth knowledge of assembly data from process and metrology tools.
- Experience with yield prediction methodologies and design-for-yield principles.
- Technical expertise with a results- and process-oriented approach and strong critical-thinking skills.
