What you will do
- Lead and mentor backend engineers, providing technical direction and guidance across Java-based development.
- Design and develop scalable backend services, RESTful APIs, and integrations using Java and Spring Boot.
- Collaborate with product managers, architects, and frontend developers to define technical solutions.
- Drive backend architecture decisions, including microservices, design patterns, and cloud-based configurations.
- Perform code reviews, address technical debt, and improve system performance, reliability, and security.
- Prepare technical documentation and support deployment releases to improve development practices.
Requirements
- Strong hands-on experience in Java backend development with Spring Boot or Spring Framework.
- Deep understanding of microservices, RESTful API design, MVC patterns, and OWASP security standards.
- Proficiency in SQL, data modelling, and working with stored procedures.
- Practical experience with AWS services such as Lambda, API Gateway, EKS, SES, SNS, MariaDB, or MongoDB.
- Proven ability to lead technical discussions and mentor engineers in an agile environment.
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills for effective cross-team collaboration.
