Senior Data Engineer (Snowflake)

Location: Escazu, Costa Rica. Must be based in LATAM.

What you will do

• Execute data engineering tasks within a cross-functional scrum team, taking stories from intake to Production.
• Migrate data pipelines from Informatica to Azure Data Factory (ADF) on a Snowflake-centric stack.
• Write and tune complex Snowflake queries to ensure optimal system performance.
• Develop reusable components, automation scripts, and integrations using Python.
• Implement template-based and configuration-driven frameworks for ETL processes.
• Collaborate with analysts, architects, and product partners to refine requirements and align delivery expectations.

Requirements

• Proven track record of taking complex data engineering stories from start to Production.
• Strong hands-on experience with Snowflake, including dynamic tables, streams, tasks, and warehouse management.
• Proficiency in ETL Orchestration, including dependency management, error handling, and data validation.
• Must be based in LATAM.
• Experience with Python for building maintainable and testable data pipelines.
• Practical knowledge of Azure Data Factory (ADF) and version control (Git branching and PRs).

Nice to have

• Experience specifically migrating pipelines from Informatica to ADF or similar platforms.
• Familiarity with DevOps concepts, including CI/CD for data engineering.
• Ability to translate high-level solution architecture blueprints into actionable implementation steps.
