TL;DR
Platform Engineer (AI): Building a next-generation machine learning platform incorporating unsupervised and supervised ML algorithms with an accent on real-time UML and distributed systems. Focus on developing streaming and database architectures to detect fraudulent behavior in real-time at scale.
Location: Remote (Must be based in Canada)

What you will do
- Design and build ML systems that process massive datasets from the world’s largest consumer services.
- Use unsupervised, supervised, and deep learning to detect fraudulent behavior and catch fraudsters.
- Build and optimize systems, tools, and validation strategies to support new features.
- Architect distributed real-time systems and features.
- Build large-scale ML pipelines using Spark, Hadoop, HBase, and Cassandra.
- Develop new systems on top of real-time streaming technologies like Kafka and Flink.
Requirements
- 1-5 years of software development experience.
- Proficiency in Java, Shell, and Python.
- Must be located in Canada.
Nice to have
- Knowledge of Relational Databases, SQL, and ORM technologies (JPA2, Hibernate).
- Experience with Cassandra, HBase, Flink, Spark, or Kafka.
- Experience with the Spring Framework and test-driven development.
- Experience with Kubernetes, multithreaded applications, and CUDA development.
