What you will do

• Design and implement AI/ML systems for personalization, recommendations, content understanding, and fraud detection.
• Develop taxonomy and ontology structures to improve signals for discovery and personalization.
• Apply graph-based techniques (graph databases, knowledge graphs) to enhance retrieval and recommendations.
• Build and deploy robust, fault-tolerant, high-throughput services emphasizing scalability and low-latency.
• Optimize ML system performance using relevance, ranking quality, and long-term user value metrics.
• Collaborate with data scientists, software engineers, and product managers to foster a culture of scientific inquiry.

Requirements

• Must be based in Buenos Aires, Argentina.
• 4+ years of experience in machine learning, applied ML engineering, or data science with production deployment experience.
• Strong expertise in search and retrieval systems, ranking, relevance, and personalization.
• Experience building end-to-end ML systems including data pipelines, feature engineering, and monitoring.
• Proficiency with catalogs, taxonomies, entity resolution, and semantic representations.
• Familiarity with graph databases and knowledge graphs for retrieval and recommendation use cases.

Nice to have

• Advanced degree (Master’s or Ph.D.) in Computer Science, Statistics, Data Science, or a related technical field.
• Experience combining search and personalization into end-to-end discovery experiences.
