What you will do

• Define service strategies for high-voltage battery packs, including repair paths, component replacement, and non-serviceable content.
• Develop serviceability requirements and influence battery system designs to improve safety, cost, and repair efficiency.
• Lead the specification, development, validation, and sourcing of special service tools and internal repair equipment.
• Coordinate cross-functional readiness across supply chain, training, packaging, and remanufacturing teams.
• Develop and govern lifting, handling, and high-voltage safety strategies using engineering analysis and test data.
• Analyze field issues and root cause information to drive continuous improvement in battery service methods.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Systems, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
• Experience with high-voltage battery architecture, diagnostics, and safe repair execution.
• Must be based in the US; GM does not provide immigration sponsorship now or in the future.
• 1-3+ years of experience for Design Engineer / 3+ years for Senior level.
• Ability to legally operate a motor vehicle on a regular basis.

Nice to have

• Experience with EV battery remanufacturing, recycling, and circularity strategies.
• Background supporting CATL or other purchased-pack service development programs.
• Knowledge of root cause investigations and field issue resolution for RESS products.
• Advanced degree in engineering, systems, or a related technical discipline.
