What you will do
- Perform fundamental quantitative and qualitative credit analysis for corporate borrowers and counterparties.
- Review LBO, M&A, and relationship lending transactions to determine risk appetite and regulatory ratings.
- Conduct regular sector analysis to monitor portfolio concentrations and market trends.
- Collaborate with Investment Banking, Sales & Trading, and Legal to approve derivatives business and implement risk mitigants.
- Analyze risks inherent in lending, trading, and derivative products.
- Manage relationships across various firm divisions including Treasury, Controllers, and Technology.
Requirements
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in corporate credit risk management.
- Deep knowledge of investment banking products, including loans and derivatives.
- Proven ability to contribute to independent decision-making and business negotiations.
- Strong proficiency in MS Excel, including financial modeling and cash flow forecasting.
- Fluency in English (written and spoken).
- Familiarity with regulatory rating requirements and guidance.
Nice to have
- Professional proficiency or fluency in German.
- CFA or FRM certifications or progress towards them.
- Experience with AI tools to enhance credit assessments.
