What you will do

  • Lead department-level product and technical initiatives, including requirement gathering and stakeholder management.
  • Design scalable backend service architectures and define robust database schemas.
  • Manage the technical quality, strategy, and vision for the product portfolio.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to decompose and estimate complex engineering tasks.
  • Mentor engineering teams and drive the adoption of Go best practices.
  • Prioritize engineering backlogs and ensure system reliability and performance.

Requirements

  • 6+ years of experience in backend development, including 3+ years specifically in Go.
  • 1+ years of experience in a leadership role such as Tech Lead, Team Lead, or Engineering Manager.
  • Proven track record of designing and delivering high-load projects.
  • Strong background in system architecture design and database modeling.
  • Proficiency in AWS, Docker, and Kubernetes environments.
  • Solid understanding of CI/CD practices and automated testing methodologies.

Nice to have

  • Experience with orchestrators like Nomad.
  • Proficiency in other backend technologies like Node.js.
  • Familiarity with Kinesis and SQS for event-driven systems.
