What you will do

• Write, edit, translate, and adapt news stories for hirify.global News Russian across digital platforms while ensuring accuracy and adherence to editorial standards.
• Develop original story ideas, cultivate sources, and identify compelling angles for audience engagement.
• Monitor developing and breaking news and update content quickly and accurately as events unfold.
• Contribute creative ideas for digital storytelling, including new formats and multimedia approaches.
• Collaborate with reporters, contributors, and editorial colleagues to plan, produce, and deliver high-quality journalism.
• Use and adapt digital publishing, content management, and news production systems, embracing new technologies and ways of working.

Requirements

• Russian: full professional fluency in written and spoken Russian, with outstanding writing, editing, and translation skills.
• English: strong command of English to work effectively in a bilingual news environment.
• Substantial experience in digital journalism, including online news production and multi-platform storytelling.
• In-depth knowledge of Russian, regional, and international news, politics, and current affairs.
• Excellent understanding of social media platforms for newsgathering, audience engagement, and content distribution.
• Ability to work calmly and accurately under pressure and meet very tight deadlines during breaking news.
