What you will do

• Build and evolve benchmarking, profiling, and load-testing tooling for cloud and database services.
• Define benchmark suites and reference workloads that accurately reflect real customer behavior.
• Establish performance baselines and regression gates to detect and triage changes.
• Partner with database teams to identify bottlenecks and land concrete performance improvements.
• Create workflows that turn benchmark results into actionable, reproducible reports for product teams.
• Enable the company to publish credible, repeatable performance metrics for customers and the market.

Requirements

• Deep experience in performance engineering, benchmarking, and profiling of complex distributed systems.
• Proven track record of owning benchmarking systems where reproducibility and variance control are critical.
• Strong systems intuition covering databases, storage, networking, and cloud infrastructure.
• Pragmatic, tooling-oriented mindset with strong communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively across product, infrastructure, and database teams.
