Salary: $75,000 – $105,000 pro rata

What you will do

• Edit vertical social media video clips and images for the Unhedged podcast and FT News Briefing.
• Oversee in-studio filming in New York using Sony FR7 cameras and Blackmagic switchers.
• Establish and manage efficient video production workflows and rollout for audio platforms.
• Optimize short-form video content using performance data to align with social media algorithms.
• Provide post-production work and technical advice for both remote and in-studio recordings.
• Collaborate with video and social media teams to expand the FT's video-podcast offering.

Requirements

• Must be based in New York to meet the onsite requirement of at least 3 days per week.
• Proficiency in Adobe Premiere and Pro Tools, with knowledge of Descript.
• Proven experience cutting podcasts for video platforms and social media.
• Experience working in a high-pressure, fast-paced newsroom environment.
• Ability to troubleshoot audio and video system setups under pressure.

Nice to have

• Understanding of After Effects.
• Familiarity with Sony A7IV, Sony FR7, and Canon C300 cameras.
